Credits explained

One credit = one cent
A credit is our internal unit of retail value. One credit equals one cent of retail price. When you see "Creator plan: 7,500 credits/month," that's a $75 retail pool of generation capacity.
We use credits instead of seconds or tokens because the app spans several primitives — Seedance video, ElevenLabs voice, Whisper transcription, ffmpeg assembly — and each has different COGS. Credits give us one unit the user can reason about.
Pricing by action (retail)
- Seedance Pro 720p video: 150 credits/second.
- Seedance Pro 1080p video: 450 credits/second.
- Seedance Fast 720p video: 75 credits/second.
- Text-to-speech voiceover: 50 credits per 1,000 characters.
- Whisper transcription: 10 credits/minute.
- Assembly (final render): 5 credits/minute of output.
- Ideas generator: 10 credits/run.
- Prompt enhance: 3 credits/run.
- Script generator: 25 credits/script.
Monthly vs. top-up balance
Your balance has two buckets:
- Monthly credits. Refreshed to your plan's full amount on every renewal. Unused monthly credits do not carry over.
- Top-up credits. Purchased as one-time packs. They carry forever and are spent only after your monthly bucket is drained.
The header pill always shows the combined total, e.g. 650 monthly + 200 top-up = 850 credits.
What happens on a failed generation
Credits are debited before we call the upstream model, and refunded automatically if the model fails, the job times out, or the request is cancelled. Refunds are posted to the same bucket the credits came from (monthly or top-up), within a second of the failure.
If a generation completes but looks wrong, that's a creative outcome, not a failure — credits are not refunded. Use the post- generation thumbs-down to flag it; we use those signals to tune model selection.
Running out mid-project
We show a low-balance banner in the composer when you're below what your next click would cost. Click Top up for a one-time pack (delivered instantly), or Upgrade to move to a higher plan with proration on your existing bill.
